The Boruto filler list is somewhat complicated, since the anime not only adapts the manga, but also novels and in many original episodes are considered "anime canon". Boruto is the sequel to Naruto Shippuden, it has 291 episodes on air, of which 32 are filler episodes, 172 are canon anime and only 63 episodes were adapted from the manga. Boruto filler episodes make up 12% of the series, this is not counting the "anime canon" episodes which has a percentage of 64%. And if we only focus on material adapted from the manga, the percentage would only be 24% of the total anime. 
With this Boruto Guide, you will be able to know which episodes are filler or canon.
The canon anime episodes explain things the manga couldn't, expand on their story without changing it (something similar to the time skip of the anime Black Clover), another reason for the inclusion of these episodes is that the manga was published monthly, so at the time of adapting it to anime there was little material.
